About Eileen
I believe strategy should be practical, personal, and a little bit bold. Originally from the UK, I built a 25-year global career in the energy sector before founding Hayes Horizon™. Today, I help business leaders cut through the noise, focus on what matters, and see measurable results.
What I do
I help business leaders get unstuck and accelerate growth in two powerful ways:
Hayes Horizon Consulting
I collaborate with small and mid-sized businesses on marketing strategy, growth strategy, and AI strategy. I assist them in defining practical, actionable plans they can execute — not just admire on paper. My approach blends strategic planning and business strategy, helping clients move from ideas to action without wasted time or resources.
The Alternative Board (TAB)
I facilitate business owners through The Alternative Board (TAB®), providing curated peer collaboration, personalized coaching, and proven strategic frameworks. Through TAB, I help them break through growth barriers, navigate challenges and gain fresh perspectives from their peers — turning collective wisdom into decisive action toward transformational results.
My experience
Over the years, I’ve led marketing functions, advised executives, and delivered strategic projects in the energy sector, in engineering- and technology-based businesses. That work has taken me to six continents, giving me a deep appreciation for how culture, strategy, and execution intersect in global business. Earlier in my career, I served in the Royal Air Force (RAF), an experience that shaped my collaborative and disciplined approach to problem-solving.
I enjoy tackling challenges that require creative problem-solving and practical solutions, whether defining marketing strategy, shaping AI strategy, or guiding businesses through actionable plans. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Cardiff University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing from the University of Liverpool, and an executive certification in AI Strategies for Business Transformation from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
Why Hayes Horizon
I started Hayes Horizon because I believe smaller businesses deserve the same quality of strategic guidance that large companies benefit from — but tailored to their realities with the agility and speed small businesses need. Culture matters deeply to me, and I’m intentional about building trust and being the strategic partner and coach my clients didn’t know they needed.
My approach
If you’re ready to challenge assumptions and push beyond “the way it’s always been done,” I can help you turn that energy into results. My approach is collaborative but candid—I’ll listen closely, ask the tough questions, and help you turn ideas into realistic, actionable strategies. Through TAB, you’ll gain accountability and peer perspective while building a business that creates more freedom and balance in your life.
Beyond work
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me cycling, at the gym, sketching in an art class, or enjoying live theatre. I’m a lifelong Liverpool FC fan, lover of animals, and a passionate believer in continuous learning.
